Worship – As we continue the Discipleship Series this week, we focus on prayer. The scripture is 1 Kings 3:4-9, (10-15), 16-28; there is also commentary available there. Today (Monday), I met with Rev. Alexa Gilmour from Stone Soup Network; the Transition Team and Executive have been talking about setting up one in North Dartmouth as a way of connecting with the community. I’m putting the finishing touches on bulletins for the next two Sundays. I met with Jim and Sandra again about the Discipleship/Stewardship program this afternoon. This evening, I need to spend some time prepping for the Membership Class.
Tuesday – As part of my work in the wider church, I will attend a Zoom meeting of the Future Directions Committee in the late afternoon. I have a couple of visits with parishioners.
Wednesday – Food Bank, I’m presenting Stone Soup Network to the Dartmouth North Organization monthly meeting in the afternoon and and a membership class in the evening
Thursday – I’m on vacation until November 2nd! You may remember that I broke up my vacation this summer in order to be present for Gordon MacAskill’s Memorial Service.
