Thursday Thoughts – October 7, 2021

Worship this Week!

It’s Thanksgiving Sunday in Canada, I’ll be continuing the Atomic Church series where we explore how small changes over time can have a big impact.

Scripture: Exodus 16: 1-18

Things I am Pondering:

  • The Israelites wandered in the wilderness for 40 years before they left behind the chains of the past and were shaped into a new kind of people, is it going to take us that long?
  • Are we longing for pre-covid times?
  • How are we grateful for having enough?
  • This article How Do You Define A Healthy Church Aside From The Numbers? touches on some things that I will touch on.

We are also going to have a Gratitude Pumpkin! So come ready to share with me something for which you grateful. This will go on for the rest of the month of October.

In keeping with the Thanksgiving theme, check out these printable, thankful placemats here!

On Monday evening, the Transition Team and Executive met to review the Interim Ministry process and reflect upon options for future ministry at Stairs. We plan to host a ‘Congregational Conversation’ on October 31st immediately following worship to hear your feedback on these options.

Choir practice started Wednesday night! We look forward to the days of being unmasked.

We love to hear from our readers!
