Monday Message – August 29, 2022

I am back in the church this week! While I won’t say that I’m fully recovered, I’m certainly better than I was a week ago and I am Covid negative. I left the house yesterday for the first time in 10 days; we went to get ice cream in the evening. I feel as if I’ve missed the last couple of weeks of the summer and we are moving into fall. Even those of us without school age children feel that gearing up in September.

The Every Child Matters T-Shirts are in; you can pick them up on Sunday. If you haven’t already paid for yours, they are $23.

This is the last week of our ‘Reel Theology’ series. This week the movie is The Glass Castle, it’s readily available on Netflix, it’s also a book. It’s a fascinating story of a family that is bound by various dysfunctions and yet it’s ultimately a story of redemption. I’ve paired it with a few different scripture readings: Galatians 5: 1, 13, 14, Romans 8: 18, 22, 23, and John 8: 31, 34-36.

And last, but not least, Robyn’s back! They’ve had a few adventures and they’re eager to tell you all about them!
